The greatest compliment that was ever paid me was
when one asked me what I thought, and attended to my answer

Henry David Thoreau

You may have already noticed that there are not a lot of people out there who you would call “great listeners”. I can’t say I myself belong to this group, though I do strive to. Listening is hard. But fortunately, if you don’t posses this rare skill, it that can be learned. I recently read yet another book on listening – Listen Up:  How to Improve Relationships, Reduce Stress, and be More Productive by Using the Power of Listening. I did summarize all of the tips sprinkled throughout the book in the 4-page document which I am now sharing with you.

I hope you will find it helpful. And always remember: when everything else fails, listen!
